Petition: E-Mail Your MP Tool

Web Networks is please to announce the launch of its new online advocacy tool, “Petition”. The Petition application plugs in seamlessly to any website, giving your members and site visitors a tangible action to take in support of your campaign—sending an e-mail to their Member of Parliament in Ottawa.

Infrastructure Upgrade

It’s happened mostly behind the scenes, but over the last year Web Networks has been building a completely Canadian-based, non-profit owned website and e-mail hosting infrastructure. Located at 151 Front Street, our new servers  have provided services for thousands of nonprofits and progressive organizations nationally, processing millions of message and website visits every month. We are proud of our successful hosting of the federal NDP site www.ndp.ca during the  recent election. If you are not hosting at Web Networks, you are probably supporting a U.S-based “web farm”.

Indie Energy

Indie Energy is a new clean energy company. It has one of the largest geothermal drilling operations in North America. Indie needed a website they could maintain themselves, especially their busy projects page. Web Networks integrated their existing design in a new "Drupal" system, and trained the Indie staff to manage all content using

National Literacy Award for Web.Net Application

Web Networks is proud to announce that its "Tusaalanga" Inuktitut language online learning platform (developed using the open source "Drupal" system) has received the prestigious Council of the Federation literacy award. Tusaalanga is a project of the Pirurvik Centre, Web's partner in Attavik, which supports Inuktitut computing.

United Church of Canada's Emerging Spirit Goes Live

Web Networks created a highly interactive website for the United Church of Canada in support of its "Emerging Spirit" campaign, which focuses on "establishing and nurturing a relationship between the United Church and Canadians who don't attend church."

web.net gets a brand new look!

Web Community Resource Networks has upgraded its website! The new Web Networks website not only has updated information and resources for our community but it is also built on a Drupal plaftorm.

According to Oliver Zielke, Executive Director of Web Networks, "It's like the carpenter's house. We have been buidling Drupal sites from Nunavut to Vancouver to Guatemala to Nova Scotia for nonprofit groups and we finally got around to Drupalizing our own website."
